Virginia Mae Harvey, 93, of Lewisburg, WV, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, after a short illness.
She was born January 25, 1921, in Asbury, WV, to the late Luther Coe and Mamie Brae Dosier.
Mrs. Harvey attended Asbury School, was a homemaker, and worked for the department of mental health. She was the oldest member of the West Point Baptist Church in Asbury.
She will be especially remembered for her love and devotion to her family and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Doris Godby (Dana) of Lewisburg; son, Richard Zicafoose (Darcas) of Logansport, IN; daughter, Ginger Blackburn of Lewisburg; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Keesling (Bill) of Anderson, IN; 14 grandchildren, Ann Browder, Bonnie Meredith (Chuck), Keith Zicafoose (Misty), Samantha Harry, Mandy Dickey (Shawn), Diana Morgan (Steve), Marty Godby (Karen), Brian Zicafoose (Michelle), Michele Blackburn, Christopher Blackburn, Cindy Walters (Rusty), Cheryl Ladd (Gregg), Connie McCarthy (Kevin), and Bettia Titus (Trent); 24 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Harvey was preceded in death by husbands, Godfrey Deckard Zicafoose, Harold “Dumpy” Morgan, and Frank Harvey; parents, Luther Coe and Mamie Brae Dosier; sisters, Azeal LaFountain (Joe), Mildred Fisher (Richard), Jocie Harrah (Vernon), and Margie Friend (Bill); brothers, Luther Coe “L.C.” Dosier (Eugie), Wesley Dosier (Freck), Austin Dosier (Mary), and Robert Dosier (Annita); and beloved son, Deckard Lee Zicafoose.
Services are slated for Sunday, November 9, 2014, at 1 PM at the West Point Baptist Church in Asbury with the Rev. Ron Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
Relatives and friends are welcome at the Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg on Saturday, November 8, from 6-9 PM.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
