Ruth R. Stewart, 88, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, died Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Lynchburg, VA, after a short illness.
Mrs. Stewart was born July 27, 1926, at Alderson, WV, the daughter of the late Silas Rayburn and Emma Jane Hedrick Buckland.
Mrs. Stewart was of the Catholic faith and was retired from The Greenbrier hotel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Stewart; five sisters; and three brothers.
She is survived by a nephew, Charles Thompson of Lynchburg; and a niece, Fonda Whanger Hawley of Fairmont, WV.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2014, at 1 PM at the McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV. Burial will follow at the Alderson Cemetery in Alderson.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
McCraw Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
