According to “Making the Grade on Women’s Health: A National and State-by-State Report Card,” in a 2010 study, West Virginia ranked 47 out of the 50 states with a failing grade for women’s health. The report card based the grades and rankings on predetermined health indicators. These indicators address a broad range of women’s health issues.
