Nellie Ethel Ridgeway Boggs, 85, of Second Creek, WV, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the Greenbrier Manor in Fairlea, WV.

Born October 15, 1928, at Hollywood, WV, she was the daughter of the late John William and Mamie Ethel VanStavern Ridgeway.

Mrs. Boggs was a loving and caring homemaker, and she was a member of the Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church at Second Creek.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harding William Boggs; one son, Jimmy Lee Boggs; and two brothers, Clark Ridgeway and Ed Ridgeway.

Survivors include three sons, William H. Boggs and wife, Beverly, of Second Creek, Gary Boggs and wife, Mary, of Second Creek, and Bobby Boggs and wife, Debi, of Second Creek; three daughters, Patricia Ward and husband, Raymond, of Second Creek, Linda Reynolds and husband, David, of Lewisburg, WV, and Brenda McClung of Lewisburg; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, October 13, 2014, at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV, with the Revs. Don Trent and Rick Brown officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway, WV.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Friends called Sunday, October 12, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
