Tammy Jo Patterson, 52, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 11, 2014, at home surrounded by her family following a courageous six-year battle with breast cancer.
She was born December 7, 1961, in Summers County, WV, to the late Patricia Davidson Foster and the late James Curtis Foster.
Tammy was a retired secretary for the Greenbrier County Board of Education. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and children. She also enjoyed golfing and spending time outdoors.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 34 years, Teddy Patterson; two sons, Justin Patterson and wife, Kristen, of Falling Spring, VA, and Jordan Patterson of Lewisburg; two sisters, Kathy Bailey and husband, Keith, of Beckley, WV, and Vicky Davidson of Elton, WV; a brother, Tony Foster and wife, Sharon, of Beckley; foster parents, Delbert and Arlene Hanshew of Springdale, WV; and numerous other relatives and friends who loved her.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2014, from 5-7 PM with a memorial service immediately following the visitation with Pastor Steve Martin officiating.
