Rainelle police made a “two-for-one” arrest on Wednesday, according to Rainelle Police Chief J.P. Stevens. Stevens said police had obtained warrants for the arrest of Daniel “Brutus” Hiser, who is alleged to be responsible for the recent string of chestnut wood thefts around Rainelle, following tips from several local saw mills and processing plants that had been sold the stolen wood by a friend of Hiser’s.
