Charlotte K. Longanacre, 53, of Sinks Grove, WV, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at home after a long battle with diabetes.
She was born January 10, 1961, at Columbus, GA, the daughter of Vivian C. Longanacre of Lewisburg, WV, and the late Lt. Col. Louis E. Longanacre.
She dearly loved her animals, and they always brought her great comfort and joy.
Other than her mother, she is survived by her brother, Edwin Longanacre (Maureen) of El Paso, TX; her companion, Larry Thrasher of Sinks Grove; and nephews, Ben Longanacre (Sarah) and their children, Trevor and Cayson, of Lake Park, FL, and Michael Longanacre of Lafayette, LA.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 11 AM at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, with the Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens at Morgantown, WV.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, October 10, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA or the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
