Virgie Frances Masters, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at the Autumn Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Wilmington, NC, following a short illness.
Born December 3, 1937, in Ronceverte, WV, she was a daughter of Henry and Callie Loudermilk.
Virgie lived a full Christian life. She attended Seaside Chapel in Carolina Beach, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Holbert Loudermilk and George Loudermilk; and a half sister, Eula Coyle.
Virgie is survived by her husband, Lewis “Pete” Masters; sons, William Masters and David Masters and wife, Sheila; grandson, Joshua Masters; her “adopted” son, Arthur Erskine and his family; three sisters, Isabel Morgan of Caldwell, WV, and Rachel Allen and Florence “Monk” Register, both of Ronceverte; one brother, Eugene Loudermilk of Fort Spring, WV; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Loudermilk and Irene Woodrum, both of Caldwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 13, at 10 AM at Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery at Organ Cave, WV, with the Revs. Everette Defibaugh and Danny Morgan officiating.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, September 12, at the Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV.
