HAMLIN W.Va. (WVDN) – One person has been shot in Hamlin. Police are searching for the suspected shooter. The West Virginia State Police released the following statement:
“On Sunday, December 29, 2024, Tpr. C.T. Daniels and Tpr. C.L. Robinson were dispatched by Lincoln 911 to a shooting at Stones Trailer Court, located in Hamlin WV. Upon arrival, the troopers located the victim with a single gunshot wound to the leg. Lincoln County EMS transported the victim to Cabell Huntington Hospital for treatment. The suspect, 42-year-old Jackie Adkins of Hamlin, WV, fled the scene prior to the trooper’s arrival. The suspect has not been located at this time. Troopers will obtain warrants on the suspect for Malicious Wounding, Wanton Endangerment, and Felon in Possession of a firearm.
