Denise Judy was granted her angel wings on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, when she went home to be with her Savior, Jesus. She was 59 years old. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family and friends.

Denise was born October 14, 1954, in Youngstown, OH, to Robert and Jane Willrich Carter. She was the ninth of 10 children.

She married James Judy in 1977.

Denise had been employed for many years with Greenbrier County Schools as a sign language interpreter/aide. She had taught sign language to many. She was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church in Williamsburg, WV. Denise had been a member of the Williamsburg Rescue Squad for many years. She was also involved for many years with the Little League organization, coaching T-ball and 9-12-year-old Little League, taking her team undefeated into and winning the Greenbrier County Championship. She loved golf, tennis, sewing, and many crafts.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, James Judy; her sons, Michael Judy and Eric Judy, both of Williamsburg; and two beautiful grandchildren, Michael’s daughter, Mykah Judy, and Eric’s son, Sydney Judy.

A celebration of life service will be held at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church at 6 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2014. The family encourages friends to come and share stories of Denise’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church in Williamsburg, Williamsburg Rescue Squad, or to the American Cancer Society.

Online condolences may be made by visiting www.WallaceandWallace FH.com.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
