Don Joel Crump, 58, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at his home on Woodlawn Avenue.
Born October 31, 1955, in White Sulphur Springs, he was a son of Donald Ray Crump and the late Joyce Nadine Stith Crump.
He was of the Baptist faith and liked to spend time with his family and grandchildren. Don was retired after 21 years of service at the Federal Bureau of Prisons for Women in Alderson, WV. He was a 1973 graduate of Greenbrier East High School in Fairlea, WV, and was a graduate of Glenville State College.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Tina Maria Crump.
Other than his father, he is survived by one son, Damien Crump (Margaret Ann) of Lexington, KY; one daughter, Camala Perry (Dwan) of Harrogate, TN; three sisters, Donna Crump of Westerville, OH, Monica Mitchell (David) of Silver Springs, MD, and Sabrina Crump of White Sulphur Springs; one nephew, Christian Spisak of Lockhart, TX; one niece, Janaska Bigley of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Jasiel of Lewisburg, WV, Kinder and Myles Harris, Dominique Crump, Davin Crump, Gianna Crump, Maliya Crump, Alexa Perry, and Nina Perry; and his ex-wife and friend, Linda Crump of Lewisburg.
His memorial service will be conducted on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Greg Scott officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs is serving the family.
