Warren Albert Reed, 86, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the White Sulphur Springs Family Care Center after an extended illness.
Born July 2, 1927, he was the son of the late Earl and Lenna Riffle Reed. Mr. Reed was of the Baptist faith and was a World War II Army veteran.
During his working years, he was a dragline operator in the coal mining industry. He enjoyed feeding squirrels and watching old Western movies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Genevieve Miller, Estil, Edgar, Unus, and Earlene.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Hinkle (Keith) and Patricia Mines (Don), all of White Sulphur Springs; five grandchildren; six greatgranddaughters; and one great-grandson.
His funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 11 AM at the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Lewis Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg, WV.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, June 13, at the funeral home.
