Ida Lynch Alderman, 85, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, entered peacefully into rest on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, 2014.
Born September 30, 1928, in Alvon, WV, she was a daughter of the late Worick and Rena Lynch.
A faithful servant of Jesus Christ, Ida loved the Lord. She cherished her family and spending quiet time with her Bible reading. She lived a simple life and enjoyed a good meal, attending church, feeding and watching the birds, and doing her part to care for any animals that she owned or encountered.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Reickauer and Edith Baldwin; grandson, Christopher Alderman; and ex-husband, G. Silas Alderman.
Survivors include six children, Rena Houdyshell (Tim), Norma Jean Luther (Harry), Charles Alderman (Lisa), David Alderman (Cyndi), Janice Carpenter (Paul), and Frank Alderman (Jayna); seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be conducted at the Bethesda Temple of Praise on Route 92, White Sulphur Springs, on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 3 PM with Pastor Brian Matthews officiating. A private burial will follow at Alvon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Alvon.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
