The City of Ronceverte has named a new city administrator, Pamela Mentz who was formerly the city’s accounting manager for 11 years and has served as interim city administrator since July 1.
Since the former administrator Reba Mohler left at the beginning of July, the city has interviewed for the position of administrator. The city’s charter formerly read that to be eligible for the position, the applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree “from an accredited college or university,” but now “this shall not be an absolute requirement” as relevant past experience may be taken into consideration when considering qualifications replaces the previous charter. The resolution was voted on and by second reading was passed by City Council at the December 7 council meeting.
Pamela is in her junior year at an accredited college pursing a Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in accounting.
