Phone requests are no longer being accepted for Greenbrier County students to obtain driver eligibility forms.
Through a post on social media dated Monday, Nov. 30, Greenbrier County School officials stated, “During the school year, driver’s eligibility forms require two signatures; the attendance director and the principal of your school.”
The post goes on to explain the two acceptable methods by which an eligible student may request the form, explaining that the forms may be obtained at the designated location of each school, or by filing out a request on the new online portal. (The link to the portal is available on Greenbrier County Schools Facebook page.)
The post also states, “Please note, the DMV will require this form before allowing you to take the learner’s exam as well as the driver’s skills test. All forms that are time stamped by Friday at 4 p.m. will be processed Monday and sent to the designated school on Tuesday for the principal’s signature. Students, who are eligible, may pick it up from the school office on Wednesday, if remote, or Thursday and Friday in person.”
It should also be noted that all forms expire 30 days from the date that they are printed.
