Through a statement released on Sunday, October 25, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey announced that his office affirmed concealed carry recognition with an additional four states. Florida, Arizona, Texas and Louisiana have now been added to the list of nine states announced last week.
“Many West Virginians choose to exercise their second amendment rights, and this helps them rest assured that their license will be recognized when they travel outside the Mountain State,” Morrisey said. “We hope to continue this recognition for many years to come.”
This means that Florida, Arizona, Texas and Louisiana will recognize the concealed carry licenses of West Virginians over the age of 21 who travel into those states. As the Attorney General’s office continues to work with other states to affirm concealed carry recognition, more announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
