Charlotte Clendenen, 95, of White Sulphur Springs passed away September 26, 2020 at Bower Hospice House in Beckley after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was born June 7, 1925 in Neola, WV and was the daughter of the late Summers and Maggie Thacker Rider.
Charlotte was a retired telephone operator with the Greenbrier Hotel.
Preceding her in death were five sisters and three brothers and her son, Charles McLaughlin.
She is survived by brothers, Richard Rider of Ohio and Zane Rider of PA; son, Kenneth Thomas (Aggie) of Lewisburg; daughter, Sandie Fox of Ronceverte; daughter in law, Jewel McLaughlin of AL; grandchildren, Angela Hale (Vince) of TN, Rebecca Stallings (Allen) of AL, Michael Fox (Sarah) of Lewisburg, Joey Thomas (Candice) of Lewisburg; great grandchildren, Ashton Keen (Austin), Hunter Jones, and Matthew, Abigail, Alicia, and Addylynn Thomas; Malena Fox and Sami Cruz; great great grandchild, Addy Kate Keen.
By her request she will be cremated and private services will be held at a later date.
