LEWISBURG (WVDN) – Greenbrier County Commission met on Nov. 22 for their regular second monthly meeting and not only read and approved minutes from their Nov. 7 meeting, but also approved minutes from two additional meetings held in November.
On Nov. 3, a special meeting was held with county attorney Britt Ludwig to sign the election and release forms for the opioid litigation settlement. The county agreed with the settlement made between the West Virginia Attorney General and Allergan, CVS, Rite Aid, TEVA and Walmart. Minutes for the election canvass meeting, held on Nov. 8, were also approved.
At the regular Nov. 22 meeting it was decided that ARC funds and water plant funds will be used for extension of water service and sewer to Sam Black Church. They then tabled the issue of using 2021 ARC funds for PSD-2 from Charmco to Rupert.
In other business, the commission is seeking fiduciary commissioners. Applicants must be lawyers, and the advertisement for the position is being published online and in the newspaper.
The position on the county planning commission was filled with selection of Russell Cronquist of White Sulphur Springs.
December county commission meetings are scheduled for Dec. 6 and 20.
