TALCOTT (WVDN) – Sprouting Farms has announced its winter selling schedule.
Through the winter the Sprouting Farms Farm Stand will be open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., with an assortment of local meat, produce, jams, syrup, honey, baked goods and more.
The Sprouting Farms Mobile Farmers Market will be in Summers County on Tuesdays at the Hinton Park across from the Big 4 Drug Store from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. They will be in Monroe County on Thursdays at the Union Senior Center from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. and the Greenville Pavilion at the Senior Manor from 2-4 p.m.
Sprouting Farms is also attending the Holiday Farmers Market at the State Fairgrounds in Lewisburg every Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Gus Douglass Building.
Sprouting Farms is a nonprofit that strives to support the area’s local food system through community, equity and innovation. The Sprouting Farms’ Food Access Program manages community markets and events to provide food access to healthy, affordable, local produce and products. The program supports local farmers and producers, while connecting their goods to communities that are food insecure. Events focus on celebrating local food while also providing nutrition education and physical activities.
