The West Virginia Daily News food drive continues, and on Monday, newspaper subscribers can leave donations of canned and nonperishable food in their paper boxes for carriers to pick up and deliver to our office.
Carriers will also pick up food on Monday, Nov. 28. Pickups are super convenient and allow you to give to your community without leaving your home!
We are also thrilled to announce that the Ronceverte Baptist Church BYF group will collect food on our behalf at Ronceverte Baptist Church — great big thanks to Ronceverte Baptist Church for their partnership! Serenity Salon in Fairlea is also accepting donations on our behalf.
Between our carriers, Ronceverte Baptist Church and Serenity Salon, you have several different ways to donate. Of course, folks are also welcome to drop off items at our office in downtown Lewisburg.
We have a nice, big parking lot, so parking is not an issue. No matter how you choose to give, we are making it easy-peasy.
We are open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
All food items collected during the month of November will be distributed to area food pantries.
I’m doing my Thanksgiving shopping this weekend, and I plan to pick up a few extra items for the food drive. Giving to others is always a great way to show gratitude, and I invite you all to grab a couple extra items off the shelves next time you shop too.
Thank you so much to all who have given already and advanced gratitude to all of you who are set to give in the upcoming days. We appreciate all of you!
