COOPER
Paul Cooper, Jr., 87, of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at his home in Lewisburg.
Born July 20, 1935, at Helen, WV, he is a son of the late Paul Cooper, Sr. and the late Pansy Gertrude White Cooper.
Paul was a retired IRS Agent; was a member of Ronceverte Christian Church, where he served as both an Elder and Chairman of the Board; and loved playing the guitar, fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He was a US Army Veteran and was a graduate of Concord College.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Betty; and a brother, Edwin Dale Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Judith A. Cooper, and would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on November 24, 2022; two sons, Jeffrey S. Cooper and his wife, Annmarie Cooper, of Richmond, VA, and Kevin L. Cooper and his wife, Dawn A. Cooper, of Brown Summit, NC; and four grandchildren, Emma P. Cooper, Ashley N. Cooper, Lily G. Cooper, and Erin M. Cooper.
Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Clifford Stone officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton with Rick Mathena officiating.
