PITSENBARGER
Anna Mae Pitsenbarger, 88, of Frankford, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at GVMC, surrounded by her family.
Born June 17, 1934, in Frankford, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Flora Mae Loudermilk Yates. Anna worked at Burlington Mills in White Sulphur Springs, WV, and had retired from Appalachian Electronics (AEI) for over thirty years.
She was loved by all who knew her and had a generous, loving soul. Anna was an avid Elvis fan, loved listening to music, loved animals (especially cats), and enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the West Virginia State Fair with her sister. She also loved to travel with her family, enjoying beach vacations, and a highlight of her life was visiting Graceland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jamie Cook; brother, William Yates; sister, Alice Yates (Bob); son-in-law, Don Hurt; and an infant brother, Clifford Yates.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Hurt of Columbia, SC, Sharon Harrison (Joe) of Renick, WV, and Terri Pitsenbarger of Lewisburg, WV; grandchildren, Joe Harrison III and Angel Lewis (Doug), all of Renick, WV; great-grandson, Harrison Lewis; special nieces who she thought of as daughters, Sylvia Johnson (Joe) of Frankford, WV, Marlene Holdren (Butch) of Vinton, VA, and Karen Phillips (Sonny) of Frankford, WV; special friends, Larry and Millie Boothe, Dinah McCoy; and best friend and caregiver, Gail Blankenship.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV, with Pastor Hat Defibaugh officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Loudermilk Cemetery, Alta, WV.
