Dale Lee Feamster, age 89, of Alderson, WV, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV, following a long illness.

Born October 13, 1932, at Palestine, WV, he was the son of the late Chester Franklin and Mae Virginia Fleshman Feamster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Gaye Sue Hosey; and two brothers, Phil David Feamster and Joe Henry Feamster.

Mr. Feamster retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force on August 31, 1974, after 22 years of service to our country. He was an Aircrew Egress System Repair Tech and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Following his career with the United States Air Force, Mr. Feamster served as a Surveyor in Greenbrier County, WV, and retired to farm life. He was a lifelong member of the Feamster Baptist Church in Alderson, WV, where he served as a Trustee, and was a member of Tri County Memorial VFW Post 6723, Alderson, WV, where he served as Chaplain until his health prevented him from doing so. He was a member of the Greenbrier Squares Square Dancing Club, and he loved to ride his Harley Davidson. Mr. Feamster was raised by his grandmother, who instilled a strong faith that he carried throughout his life.

Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Carolyn Mae Doyle Feamster of Alderson, WV; three sons, Paul Feamster and his wife, Lara, of Mesa, AZ, Kim Feamster and his wife, Michelle, of Brea, CA, and Scott Feamster and his wife, Sherry, of Canada; two brothers, Bucky Feamster and his wife, Linda, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Jack Lynch and his wife, Dee, of Tennessee; two sisters, Beverly Feamster Pack and her husband, Leroy, of North Carolina, and Gay Van-Kammon of Wyandotte, MI.; two stepchildren, Lori Ann Hicks and her husband, Carl, of Hot Springs, VA, and Andrew Wiseman and his wife, Kate, of Falling Spring, VA; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Feamster Baptist Church in Alderson, WV, with Pastor Jonathan Hunt officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later date at the Huffman Cemetery in Alderson, WV. Friends may call Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Feamster Baptist Church in Alderson, WV.

Military funeral honors will be conducted by Tri County Memorial VFW Post 6723, Alderson, WV, and the United States Air Force.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

For those wishing to show an expression of sympathy, contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Feamster to the Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
