The following governmental bodies will hold public meetings this week:
The Greenbrier County Commission will meet in regular session at the courthouse in Room 132 on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. The meeting is also live streamed from https://www.facebook.com/gbrcourthouse/. On the agenda: consider placement of the board of education levy on November general ballot; consider signing a resolution regarding the Proposed Constitutional Amendment 2 (the Property Tax Modernization Amendment); courthouse construction project; and more.
The city of Lewisburg Planning Commission will meet next week in working session on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 942 Washington St. West at 5:30 p.m. On the agenda: discussion of permissible use table; discussion of future land use map; and more. The next scheduled working session will be Thursday, Oct. 6 at 5:30 p.m. with a deadline of Friday, Sept. 16, 2022
