LEWISBURG (WVDN) – At its regular weekly meeting on Monday, July 25, the Lewisburg Rotary Club heard from local writer Greg Johnson, who serves on the board of the Lewisburg Literary Festival.
The 10th annual Lewisburg Literary Festival will be held in downtown Aug. 5-6 and will include writing workshops at the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center, a monologue by Rotarian Cathey Sawyer on the life of Pearl Buck at the Lewis Theatre, and featured guests at Carnegie Hall.
Guests are Connor Knighton, a West Virginian and CBS Sunday Morning correspondent, Jennifer Pharr Davis, who completed the Appalachian Trial in 57 days, and Garry Trudeau, cartoonist of “Doonesbury.”
Limited edition posters featuring the Herns Mill bridge and signed by Trudeau are available at A New Chapter bookstore.
