WILLIAMSBURG (WVDN) – Blue Jeans and Country Dreams is the theme for the bigger and better Williamsburg Community Fair this year.

On Thursday evening exhibits for food, photos, flowers, painting, quilts, youth homemade scarecrow contest using blue jean material, decorated place setting for the fair theme, vegetables, eggs and others are to register from 5-7 p.m. at the community building. The listing of exhibits is on Facebook at WilliamsburgWVcommunityfair.

Friday evening from 5:30-8 o’clock, enjoy pizza or walking tacos, play bingo from 6-8, and have fun at the square dance with Mudhole Control Band and caller Lou Maiur at 7 o’clock.

Start your Saturday with breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, eggs and more. Then visit the thrift shop in the old schoolhouse, open from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., for a $1 bag clothing sale. Then step out their doors and view the parade that begins at 10:30 a.m. Following the parade enjoy lunch at the concession stand in the community building, vendors, health screenings, cruise-in, games/stations, crafts, bouncy house, jail, dunk tank, cotton candy, Dippin’ Dots, popcorn, horseshoe tournament, and corn hole tournament.

Another added feature this year is outdoor entertainment under a tent. Bring your chair and relax while listening to Karen McKay from 12:30-1:30 p.m., Cody Wickline from 1:30-3, and Richie Holiday from 3-4.

In the evening enjoy bingo again from 4-6 o’clock followed by a spaghetti dinner from 4-7. A dance concert is from 7-9 p.m. with Fallen Rock in the fire house bay. Cap the night off with fireworks beginning at 9:30.

For a full schedule and event information, visit the website WilliamsburgWV.com, or on Facebook at Williamsburgwvcommunity fair or Williamsburgwv. The fair will be held at 6571 Shoestring Trail, Williamsburg.

The community fair is sponsored by the Williamsburg Community Action and Williamsburg Ruritan Club.
