Questions still remain as to what happened to the Lewisburg Elks Country Club swimming pool last weekend.

Officials there are still awaiting an evaluation by the insurance adjusters.

The pool’s perimeter collapsed in sections and is unrepairable, according to Teresa Aultz at the Lewisburg Elks Club.

“There’s really nothing to report at this time, but as soon as we know something we will let you know, ” she said.

As of press time, no official cause has been determined for the structural failure of the 60-year-old swimming pool.

One of the town’s favorite public pools remains empty and out of commission. Jim Shock photo
