I would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about me. I will introduce the various facets of my life in order of importance and priority.
A Christian: first and foremost, I am a servant of Christ saved by His grace.
An elder/deacon and Treasurer: I serve the Lord at First Baptist Church of Quinwood. (FBCQ).
A husband: I have been married, for 18 of my 40 years of my life, to my wonderful wife Candace (Rodes). A Father: I have four children, Benjamin (13), Elijah (10), Joshua (8) and Jessa (1).
A Professional Engineer (PE): I am a licensed PE in the states of West Virginia and Virgina. An Employee: I am currently employed with Team Environmental in Millwood, WV.
A Ruritan: I have served in the Smoot Ruritan Club as Treasurer, Vice President, President, and member during my 17-year tenure.
A Board Member of the Western Greenbrier Little League: I have served as Area Coordinator, Information Administrator, Vice President, and currently President.
A candidate for the Greenbrier Board of Education: I submitted my application to the County Clerk on January 25, 2022, and this is where I currently stand.
So, you may wonder, where do you fit in? I would say in between all the busy of life you have just reviewed. If you don’t already know me, it is only a matter of time before one of those areas of my service to Christ and the community will intersect with yours. I only ask that you consider me and my testimony to provide you, the citizens, faculty and staff, parents, and students, a voice on the Board. We may not always agree on everything, or see eye to eye, but at the end of the day, you will know exactly where I stand. I ask you to stand with me.
