PLUMLEY
Tommy Regan Plumley, 56, of Hinton passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born February 2, 1965 in Beckley, WV, he was the son of the late Tom and Wilma Louise Shirey Plumley.
Tommy was a 1983 graduate of Hinton High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a retired conductor with CSX Transportation Corp. and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping. Tommy was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hinton and also the Hinton Masonic Lodge #62.
Survivors include his loving wife and caretaker, Mary Lynn Richmond Plumley; one son, Matthew Plumley of Beckley; and one daughter, Jillian Plumley of Ghent, WV; step-son, Tyler Bennett of Duck, WV; and step-daughter, Brittany DelRosario of Huntington, WV; twin brother, Tim Plumley and wife, Pam of Jacksonville, NC; half-sister, Nancy Jo Blankenship of Bluefield, WV; nephew, Jarrod Plumley of Jacksonville, NC; and 2 step-grandsons, Noah and Tristen also survive.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial followed in Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz, WV. The family received friends from 12 noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Tim, Matt, John, Jerry, and Jarrod Plumley, John Angotti, and Tyler Bennett served as pallbearers.
Covid-19 protocols were observed at the family’s request, with masks and appropriate social distancing.
