Fund raising for the 2021 Penny Pitch campaign has begun. We will be helping in excess of 100 families again this year, if funds will allow. We will also be working with Communities in Schools to reach out to families that need help to provide Christmas to children in our community. We are hoping to reach our goal of $65,000 again this year. We are going to need the help and blessing from the community to reach our goal. All donations stay in the area and help local families. Penny Pitch is 501-c-3 organization and your donation is tax deductible. We provide a toy for the children, warm winter coat, and or clothing, a food box and whatever the families greatest need might be. If their is money left over after providing Christmas to families we pay on utilities. Each family receives a food box, filled with staple items, like soup, crackers, canned foods, peanut butter, potatoes, ham and more.
A couple changes this year to our fund raising. The West Virginia Daily News office will NOT be accepting donations this year, on our behalf. You can drop your donation by either of The City National Bank locations in Lewisburg. You can drop it off at the drive though at both locations. We will be picking up daily at these locations or you can mail your donation to Penny Pitch, P.O. Box 494, Lewisburg, W.V. 24901. We appreciate any and all donations. We’ve got a long way to go to reach our goal. Our local children that need help, who wouldn’t receive anything for Christmas are depending on us to come though for them. This year has been a very hard year for a lot of families in our area, With the price of everything going up, parents are having a hard time to just pay the bills and won’t be able to provide Christmas presents. With your help Penny Pitch can help our local children have something under the tree for Christmas. Please send your donation today and help us reach our go
