According to a statement released on Friday, October 8 by Mon Power, a scheduled power outage will occur on Wednesday, October 13.

The statement reads: “The outage will affect customers in the vicinity of Frankford, Lewisburg and Maxwelton, WV.”

Customers within the impacted areas should anticipate service interruption to occur between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Greenbrier County Homeland Security and Emergency Management has confirmed that customers within the Downtown-area of the City of Lewisburg will not be affected by the scheduled outage.

Mon Power has stated that the planned power outage is happening to allow workers and crew the time needed to “upgrade facilities.”

Mon Power’s message concluded with: “Mon Power thanks you for your patience and understanding while we perform this work to improve your electric service reliability.”

Mon Power’s last planned power outage occurred on Wednesday, March 31 of this year. The reason given for the previous scheduled outage was also to “upgrade facilities.” In the case of inclement weather, the planned power outage will be rescheduled for Friday, October 15.

Should customers have any questions, Mon Power can be reached at 800-686-0022.
