Community members are invited to enjoy a morning of cycling, outdoor recreation, and fellowship during the Greenbrier River Trail Community Ride on Sunday, November 15, 2026.
Hosted by Pocahontas Trails, the family-friendly event will begin at Stillwell Park, located at 378 Everett Tibbs Road in Marlinton, West Virginia.
Participants are asked to meet at 10 a.m., with the group scheduled to hit the trail at 10:15 AM. The ride is expected to conclude around noon,
followed by light snacks, refreshments, and an opportunity for riders to socialize.
The community ride is designed to welcome cyclists of all ages and experience levels, whether they are experienced riders or simply looking to get back on a bike.
Organizers describe the event as easy-paced, with a no-drop format that ensures the group stays together throughout the ride. All types of bicycles are welcome.
The goal of the event is to bring the community together, encourage outdoor recreation, and make cycling accessible to everyone. Participants are encouraged to bring family members and friends to enjoy the scenery and spend time outdoors with fellow riders.
Riders should bring a helmet, water, and a bicycle in good working condition. Participants may also bring their own snacks or lunch if desired.
The Greenbrier River Trail provides an opportunity to experience the area’s natural beauty while enjoying a leisurely ride in a welcoming community atmosphere.
Pocahontas Trails also promotes community rides on the first and third Sundays of each month, offering additional opportunities for residents to get outside and enjoy cycling together.
