IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF GREENBRIER COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA

NOTICE OF MAGISTRATE VACANCY TO BE FILLED AT THE
NOVEMBER 3, 2026, GENERAL ELECTION

NOTICE is hereby given that effective August 7, 2026, a vacancy occurred in the Office of Magistrate for Greenbrier County, West Virginia, by virtue of the retirement of Magistrate Kimberly Johnson. Pursuant to the applicable provisions of the West Virginia Code that govern vacancies in the Office of Magistrate, the unexpired term for this office shall be filled by election at the General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Any individual seeking election to the Office of Magistrate for the unexpired term must satisfy all constitutional and statutory qualifications for the office and comply with all applicable candidate filing requirements and deadlines established by the West Virginia Code and the West Virginia Secretary of State.

The candidate filing period in which to file the required Candidate’s Certificate of Announcement shall begin on August 11, 2026, and shall end at the close of business on August 24, 2026. Additional information regarding candidate filing requirements and applicable deadlines may be obtained from the Greenbrier County Clerk.

This NOTICE is published as a Class II-0 Legal Advertisement.
