On Tuesday, July 27, 2021, Eddie T. Lawson Jr., aged 51, entered into eternal rest, after a brief battle with cancer. He was affectionately known as E.T. to his family and friends. E.T. was born on May 14, 1970, in White Sulphur Springs to Eddie T. Lawson, Sr. and Donna Lawson.
E.T. was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and was stationed in Babenhausen, Germany. E.T. also played football and Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. After his enlistment, he went on to have a successful career as an over the road truck driver. In his 28+ years of driving, he was employed with Schneider, Maverick and Mercer trucking companies. E.T. enjoyed serving as a Greenbrier County recreational league coach for their youth basketball and Lewisburg Steelers football team.
E.T leaves, to cherish his memory, his parents, Eddie Sr. and Donna Lawson; two beloved sisters: Yvonne Lawson of East Orange, NJ and Shawne Lawson Mooreman of KY; his daughter, Alexis Y. Lawson of Durham, NC; three sons: Zayvion Esiah Lawson, Marion Cole Lawson of Lewisburg, WV, their mother Colette Lewis and Myles Nico Lawson of Las Vegas, NV as well as a host of friends & family. He reveled in the company of his only grandchild, Riley Brooke Hall.
He will be mourned by extended family and countless friends all across the country.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on August 28th at First Baptist Church on 17 church St in White Sulphur Springs.
