West Virginia (WVDN) — Quentin Murphy, founder of Murphy Photography and Film, has been officially named the 2026 West Virginia Vibes Creator of the Year for Photography and Videography, recognizing his outstanding creative work, community impact, and continued dedication to visual storytelling across the Mountain State and beyond.

Murphy, a full-time photographer and filmmaker based in West Virginia, has built a reputation for capturing authentic moments that resonate deeply with audiences. Known for his cinematic style and ability to tell meaningful stories through both photo and video, his work has reached hundreds of thousands of viewers and continues to elevate the creative landscape within the state.

“This recognition means everything,” said Murphy. “Not just for me, but for the entire creative community here in West Virginia. There is so much talent in this state, and it deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported.”

Over the past year, Murphy has expanded his portfolio across multiple states while maintaining a strong focus on highlighting West Virginia’s people, businesses, and natural beauty. His work ranges from weddings and senior portraits to commercial projects and brand storytelling, all driven by a passion for connection and authenticity.

Beyond his individual success, Murphy has been an advocate for fellow creatives—frequently collaborating, mentoring, and using his platform to spotlight others in the industry. His commitment to community-building has made him not only a standout creator but also a respected leader among his peers.

The West Virginia Vibes Creator of the Year award is determined through a combination of public support and industry recognition, making Murphy’s win a testament to both his impact and the strong backing of his audience.

As he looks ahead, Murphy plans to continue pushing creative boundaries, traveling for projects, and telling stories that reflect the heart and soul of the communities he serves.
