RONCEVERTE W.Va. (WVDN) – According to a criminal complaint, on March 2, an officer was dispatched to the vicinity of Fort Spring Pike in Ronceverte for a domestic violence call. The caller reportedly said the suspect, later identified as April Glasser, was drinking, had weapons, and had gotten physical. As the officer was enroute, Greenbrier County 911 told him the victim had left the residence and that Glasser was following him down the road.

When the officer arrived at the residence, the victim was standing approximately 200 yards away. The victim had reportedly told Greenbrier County 911 that Glasser had returned to the house. After the officer’s arrival, Glasser allegedly came out holding a bottle of blood orange ginger beer. Glasser was detained so the officer could get statements.

As the officer was speaking to the victim, he was reportedly told that an argument had broken out over the dogs not eating the food Glasser had made for them. He allegedly told the officer that Glasser began to throw objects at him, which caused them to end up in the foyer. According to the criminal complaint, the victim went on to say Glasser threw a bowl of seashells at him, then wrapped her leg around his and had her arm around him, too. She then allegedly proceeded to headbutt him. The victim reportedly shoved her off, and she fell into the living room.

According to the complaint, the victim said that Glasser then went into the bedroom, grabbed an AR-15, and walked down the hallway, pointing it at him. The victim also reportedly said he then left the house and began walking down the driveway with Glasser following with the AR-15. The complaint states that the victim said Glasser asked him if he had removed the bullets, and he then heard what sounded like Glasser throwing the gun across the roadway.

The officer talked to Glasser in the back of the Sheriff’s Department cruiser. Glasser reportedly said an argument started when she said she had sexual relations with the victim’s friend. Glasser allegedly went on to say that she had thrown an AR-15 and a 9 mm pistol in the river. While still on scene, the AR-15 was recovered, but the 9 mm couldn’t be found.

The officer took Glasser to the Sheriff’s Department, where she was read her Miranda Rights and interviewed about what happened at the residence.  Glasser reportedly said that when they were in the kitchen, a verbal argument began, and that’s when she raised her fist as if to hit the victim.  The complaint said Glasser then said that at this point, he grabbed her by the wrist. Additionally, Glasser reportedly said she then went to the foyer, grabbed a bowl full of seashells, and threw it on the floor. Then, in the entryway to the living room, she reportedly said she couldn’t remember what she said, but that the other person pushed her to the ground.

Glasser said she then went to the bedroom to get the AR-15 and 9 mm so she could scare him into leaving, according to the complaint. She reportedly said she followed him down the road and threw both weapons into the river. The officer asked Glasser how much she had to drink, to which she reportedly responded around four shots of whiskey.

Glasser was then placed under arrest for domestic battery and wanton endangerment with a firearm.

The information in this article is based on public records and court documents. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
