Forrest Edward Vass, Jr. “Eddie”

Forrest Edward Vass, Jr. “Eddie”, 72, of Ronceverte, passed away February 24, 2026, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

He was born March 17, 1953, in Ronceverte and was the son of the late Forrest Edward and Faye Holliday Vass, Sr.

Eddie belonged to Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was retired from The Greenbrier Hotel with 48 years of service. Eddie was a true family man, loving and supporting his wife, child, and grandchildren. He was a collector of Fenton glassware, Nascar collectibles, amethyst rocks, and coins.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles “Chuck” Vass.

Surviving Eddie are his loving wife, Patty McQueen Vass of 33 years; son, Forrest E. Vass III (Leahiera Usher); grandchildren, Nova Vass, Mekhi Smith, Jaxon Vass, and Joel Arnold; sister-in-law, Valerie Field-Vass; and nephews, Charles Vass, Joshua Greenblatt, and Nick Field.

Funeral services for Eddie will be held Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with Minister Billy Cumby officiating; interment will follow at the New Lebanon Cemetery, Pickaway.

The family will receive family and friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of services on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the funeral home.
