LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – Michael Leon Baker, 50, was sentenced on February 12, 2026, in Greenbrier County Circuit Court following his conviction on multiple counts of third-degree sexual assault.
The court ordered Baker to serve consecutive sentences of one to five years on each of five counts. The sentences for Counts 1, 3, and 5 will be served in prison. Upon completion of those prison terms, the sentences for Counts 7 and 9 will be served through monitored home confinement.
In addition, Baker will be subject to 50 years of extended supervision following the completion of his incarceration and home confinement.
The charges stem from incidents that occurred between January 1, 2005, and December 31, 2006. According to the indictment, Baker engaged in sexual intercourse with a male child under the age of sixteen at the time of the offenses.
The case was investigated by Deputy Alex Workman of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department and prosecuted by Ryan Blake. Greenbrier County Prosecuting Attorney Nicole Campbell expressed her appreciation for those who worked on the case, specifically Prosecutor Blake and Deputy Workman.
