Charleston, W.Va. (WVDN) – On Saturday, February 14, 2026, Trooper A.C. Walters responded to a single-vehicle crash on Pennsylvania Avenue near the community of Pinch, West Virginia. Upon arrival, Trooper Walters observed a passenger vehicle overturned on its roof. The victim, a 19-year-old female, had been ejected from the vehicle and was subsequently transported to CAMC General Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, Trooper Walters made contact with the driver, Brett Mullins, 21, of South Charleston, WV. Trooper Walters’ investigation led to the development of probable cause to arrest Mr. Mullins for Driving Under the Influence Causing Injury, along with additional traffic-related offenses.
Mr. Mullins was transported to the South-Central Regional Jail (SCRJ) to await arraignment. Speed and alcohol are believed to have been contributing factors in the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
