The Jan 30 issue contains a press release from Senator Capito that states, “Going forward, I will continue working with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to lock in common sense permitting reform so that projects of all types, including sources of dispatchable, baseload electricity, can be permitted through a fair and efficient process.”

In fact, she has supported the administration’s campaigns against renewable energy, including wind and solar. Solar electrical production is high when air conditioning demand peaks, an important fact she omits. Keeping antiquated coal generation facilities open by legislation, even though the companies that own them say they should be shut down, raises consumer costs even more.  Let’s see our elected representatives TRULY support “All of the above, as the world transitions to cleaner, more efficient and less expensive electrical energy.
