WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – Following reports circulating regarding a fire on The Greenbrier Resort’s property on Jan. 3, The Greenbrier released the following statement to clarify the situation:
“On Saturday, January 3, a fire occurred at a privately owned residence within The Greenbrier Sporting Club. The Greenbrier Resort Fire Department responded promptly, along with several neighboring fire departments, to extinguish the fire. The residence is located a significant distance from the main hotel, and at no time were any historic structures at America’s Resort, or any nearby homes, threatened. The Greenbrier extends its sincere gratitude to the first responders who assisted in managing this incident, and our thoughts remain with the homeowners as they navigate the effects of this unfortunate event.”
