GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – According to a criminal complaint, on Dec. 15, an officer with the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department responded to the vicinity of Fort Hill Lane for a warrant.

When the officer arrived, he made contact with a woman. He reportedly asked her if Carl Lephew was there. After allegedly hesitating, she responded yes.

The officer entered the residence and went back to the bedroom. According to the complaint, the officer stated multiple times that Lephew needed to make himself known and identify himself. Lephew then allegedly said he was hiding in the closet. Two officers then opened the closet door and took Lephew into custody.

Since Lephew was inside the residence, that made him in violation of the DVP, which stated he wasn’t to be inside said residence. Due to this fact, Lephew was charged with an additional count of violation of a DVP.

Lephew was transported to the Lewisburg Police Department for processing, then to Southern Regional Jail without further incident.

At thee timeof publishing, Lehew is not listed as an inmate at Southern Regional Jail.
