A man has died following injuries sustained after being struck by two vehicles in Raleigh County.
According to information provided by the West Virginia State Police, on Wednesday, July 7, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Trooper N. C. Patton was flagged down by a driver who stated a person had been struck by a vehicle on Robert C. Byrd Drive near the Walmart in Crab Orchard.
Trooper Patton arrived on scene and found a deceased, male subject lying in the roadway, later identified as Jared Holahan, 27, of Columbia Station, Ohio.
Witnesses on scene stated that Holahan was standing in the roadway when two vehicles travelling west on Route 16 struck him.
This incident is being reconstructed by the West Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team and remains active and ongoing.
