LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – According to a criminal complaint, on Dec. 16, around 2 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the vicinity of Walmart. The call was in regard to a female’s alleged recreational use of inhalants (air duster) on an MTA bus.
The bus driver reportedly waved the officer down from in front of the store, and the officer made contact with the driver. The driver reportedly said a female refused to leave his bus after he told her to get off. He stated he had witnessed her using an air duster, according to the complaint.
At this point, the officer got on the bus and made contact with a female later identified as Vicky Lynn Scott. The criminal complaint states that Scott was seated and had two air duster cans at her feet. The officer advised her to get off the bus and reportedly went to take hold of her hand. Scott allegedly proceeded to get a third can of air duster out of her purse and inhale it.
Scott allegedly made an attempt to move to another seat, trying to avoid arrest. The officer was finally able to get her cuffed, and EMS met them at the office for evaluation.
Ultimately, Scott was arrested and transported to Southern Regional Jail. At the time of publishing, Scott is still listed as an inmate with bail set at $1,500.
