CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVDN) – State Treasurer Larry Pack announced today his Office’s Unclaimed Property Division returned nearly more than $11 million worth of funds to individuals, businesses and organizations since the start of Fiscal Year 2026, which began on July 1.
More than $1.5 million was returned to rightful owners during the month of November.
“I’m proud my office continues to return unclaimed property funds at the fastest rate in state history,” Treasurer Pack said. “More than $11 million has been put back in the pockets of West Virginians since July 1; however, there’s more work to do. With more than $530 million worth of listings statewide, I encourage everyone to keep checking our online database because you never know if there may be unclaimed property funds in your name.”
The Unclaimed Property Division returned a total of $1,563,659 paid out across 1,584 claims representing 5,205 individual properties during the month of November.
The State Treasurer’s Office now has more than $531 million worth of listings in its database.
