RONCEVERTE W.Va. (WVDN) – The Ellis Historical Mansion is launching a Christmas-themed fundraiser, “Tidings of Terror,” inviting attendees to meander through eerie holiday scenes decked in vintage decor and featuring chilling characters inspired by classic Christmas lore. The community event aims to blend festive thrills with a noble cause: the ongoing restoration of the historic Victorian mansion.
Abby Smith, spokesperson for the event, stated, “We had a great turnout for our haunted house fundraiser in October. The community has been very supportive of our efforts to restore our beloved Victorian. The proceeds from our fundraisers go toward the project.”
The fundraiser emphasizes volunteer involvement, with organizers calling on the public to lend a hand in preserving the local landmark. Volunteers are a vital backbone to the operation.
Dates for Tidings of Terror are December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20, from 7-10 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for children. The event is located at 126 Pocohontas Avenue, in Ronceverte.
If you would like to volunteer, contact them on Facebook at 304urbexxx or via email at 304urbexxx@gmail.com. The proceeds support the ongoing restoration and preservation of a local historic landmark, and they invite volunteers to help sustain the project.
