RAINELLE W.Va. (WVDN) – According to a criminal complaint, on Monday, Nov. 17, at around 11:05 p.m., an officer received a call from Greenbrier County 911 in regards to an ongoing domestic in the vicinity of Rainelle.
When the officer arrived at the residence, he made contact with the victim, who allegedly said that her husband had come into the residence yelling about an affair. She reportedly went on to say he had cameras in the residence so he could spy on her during the divorce. The complaint states that the victim said she had unplugged a camera in the bedroom, and the accused, identified as Jeffrey Blackburn, told her not to do that. When she kept the camera unplugged, Blackburn allegedly shoved her into a bookcase, breaking it and causing redness and bruising to her right ankle.
Blackburn had left the residence before the officer’s arrival, but he reportedly called the victim on the phone and asked to speak with him. The officer noted that he did speak with Blackburn and advised him to return to the residence, according to the criminal complaint.
When Blackburn got back, the officer reportedly asked him about the affair and the divorce. Blackburn allegedly admitted to shoving the victim into the bookshelf. The victim stated she would be filing a domestic violence protection order in Greenbrier County Magistrate’s office. Blackburn was arrested for domestic battery.
At the time of publishing, Blackburn is not listed as an inmate at Southern Regional Jail.
