On Saturday, May 22, Friends of Ronceverte presented scholarships to two GEHS graduates.
Nate Baker of Ronceverte, son of Aaron and Allison Baker of Ronceverte and Azjah Woods, daughter of Larry and Heather Woods both received one thousand dollar scholarships after originally applying for one five hundred dollar scholarship.
Friends of Ronceverte asked for applications for deserving Ronceverte seniors on their social media and after receiving submissions from Baker and Woods, they unanimously decided to give both students the monies. With assistance from Kayla McCoy, FOR raised the additional five hundred dollars for each applicant.
Friends of Ronceverte look forward to making this an annual tradition.
