LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) — Carnegie Hall is now recruiting volunteers for its 2025–2026 season, offering a wide range of opportunities to support the arts and connect with the community. From ushering at performances to assisting with educational programs, special events, and administrative tasks, volunteers play a vital role in sustaining Carnegie Hall’s mission to provide high-quality cultural programming in the Greenbrier Valley.
Volunteer roles include:
Ushering and merchandise support
Club Carnegie and educational outreach
Office coverage and mailings
Special events such as Taste of Our Town
Committee participation and more
To prepare new volunteers, Carnegie Hall will host orientation sessions on:
Wednesday, September 10 at 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 25 at 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Orientation includes a tour of the Hall and an overview of volunteer responsibilities. Attendance is required for those interested in ushering.
“Volunteering at Carnegie Hall is more than just lending a hand—it’s about building relationships, celebrating the arts, and making a meaningful impact,” said Teri Hartford, Volunteer Coordinator. “Last season, over 200 volunteers contributed more than 3,100 hours. Their dedication helps keep the arts and education thriving in our region.”
