CHARLESTON W.Va. (WVDN) – Vandalia Health Charleston Area Medical Center has been recognized again by Forbes Magazine as one of America’s Best-In-State Employers.

This prestigious award is presented in collaboration with Statista, the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

Forbes and Statista selected America’s Best-In-State Employers 2025 through an independent survey from a vast sample of over 160,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 500 people within the U.S. Over 2 million employer evaluations were considered. The final score is based on two types of employee evaluations: personal (those given by employees themselves) and public (those given by friends and family members of employees, or members of the public who work in the same industry).

“Being recognized as one of America’s Best-In-State Employers for seven consecutive years is more than an accolade—it’s a reflection of the culture we’ve built together,” said Glenn Crotty, Jr., MD, President and CEO of CAMC and Executive Vice President of Vandalia Health. “Our people are the heart of everything we do, and this honor reaffirms our commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, empowered and inspired to grow.”

This recognition reinforces that CAMC continues to lead the industry on a regional and statewide level in employee satisfaction, setting a new standard for workplace excellence.

The survey considered every aspect of an employee’s experience such as working conditions, salary, potential for growth and diversity. Of the thousands of companies eligible for this recognition, only a select few are awarded in each state.
